Main Verb

 In a clause, main verb is the verb that contains the meaning.


অর্থাৎ, clause এর যে verb টি অর্থ বহন করে সে verb টিই Main verb । যেমনঃ

We live in Bangladesh. এই sentence এ live হচ্ছে Main verb


এই verb  Lexical verb এবং Principal verb এ দুটি নামেও পরিচিত। sentence এ action বা আচরণের ভিত্তিতে একে কয়েক ভাগে ভাগ করা যায়। যথাঃ

Finite verb


Non finite verb
