Use of ‘the’
the ব্যবহারের জন্য মাত্র একটি শর্ত পূরণ করতে হয়। তা হলো noun টিকে specific বা নির্দিষ্ট হতে হবে। অর্থাৎ, যে কোন noun যদি নির্দিষ্ট হয়, তবে তার জন্য the ব্যবহার করতে হবে। উক্ত noun টি countable/ uncountable, singular/plural, vowel or consonant দ্বারা শুরু, যাই হোক না কেন, তাতে the ব্যবহারের জন্য কোন বাধা নেই।যেমনঃ 1. There was a pond in a locality. The pond was full of water. Some frogs lived in the pond. The frogs were very happy. 2. Air is the most important element of our environment. But the air of our country is constantly being polluted. সঠিকভাবে article ব্যবহার করতে হলে noun এর নিদিষ্টতা ও অনিদিষ্টতা ভালভাবে শিখতে হবে।
