Prepositions of place

 

These prepositions are used to show where something is located. 

এগুলী হলো স্থান প্রকাশক prepositions এই prepositionগুলী place noun এর আগে ব্যবহার করতে হয়। 

at: point of place – Rohan was waiting at the station.   

At the station

 

on: স্পর্শ অবস্থায় উপরে- Shima kept her books on a table.

 

 cap on the head.

in: মধ্যে/কোন স্থানে- The table is kept in the room.

after: পরে/পাশে- There is a large pond after our house.

among: তিন বা তার বেশির মধ্যে- The play ground lies among the school, hospital and post office.

between: দুইটির মধ্যে- There is a green field between the hospital and school.

behind: পেছনে/আড়ালে – Hena saw a cat behind the TV.

in front of: সামনে- We have made nice garden in front of our house.

next to: পাশে/পরে- The bank is next to the college.

beside: পাশে – There is a large building beside the pond.

by: পাশে- He was sitting by the lake.

over: স্থির অবস্থায় উপরে – She held the umbrella over her head.

above: উপরে – She has rented a room above a shop.

under: নিচে- He hid under the bed.
