Prepositions of other meanings ‍are used to show a variety of ideas- অন্যান্য অর্থ প্রকাশক Prepositions

of: র/এর The name of our country is Bangladesh.

      of:দ্বারা   The chair is made of wood.

      of: মধ্যে- Ria is the best of the girls.

for: জন্য – I am waiting for you.

with: সাথে- I will go with you.

         with: দ্বারা/দিয়ে – We write with pen.

        with: বিশিষ্ট – I saw a man with long hair.

without: ছাড়া/ব্যতিত- We cannot live without food.

instead of: পরিবর্তে- She took Geography instead of Sociology.

according to: মতে/অনুসারে- According to history, Alexander was an invader.  

about: সম্বন্ধে – We know little about the origin of the world.

against: বিরুদ্ধে – I always speak against violence.

for the sake of: জন্যে – Many people died in 1971 for the sake of our independence.

in favour of: পক্ষে – We must work in favour of our country.

in charge of: দায়িত্বে – She was working in charge of the principal.

on: উপরে – I wrote a poem on natural beauty.

on behalf of: পক্ষে – The president signed the treaty on behalf of the state.

up to: পর্যন্ত – She studied up to class eight.

as: হিসেবে – He was good as a student.

like: মতো – I like a man like you.

by: মাধ্যমে/দ্বারা – Shefa goes to college by bus.

unlike: বিপরীত – Unlike my friend, I always come earlier.  

except: ছাড়া/ব্যতিত – I have nothing except a bag.

but: ছাড়া/ব্যতিত – I want nothing but a pen.
