Simple sentence

 Simple Sentence = 1 Main clause Example: Mita cooks her own food.

Simple Sentence এ একটি মাত্র main clause থাকে। তবে এর সাথে present participle, infinitive, prepositional phrase, adverbial ইত্যাদি থাকতে পারে । যেমনঃ You can pass reading attentively.(present participle)

Construction: 1. Base:1 Main clause I like flowers.

2.Complex-simple: Complex Sentence থেকে Simple Sentence গঠন করতে হলে Subordinate clause কে প্রয়েজন মতো Phrase এ রুপান্তর করতে হয়। যেমনঃ Complex :Though he was poor, he was honest. Simple: In spite of being poor, he was honest.

3. Compound -simple: Compound Sentence থেকে Simple Sentence গঠন করতে হলে conjunction বাদ দিয়ে main clauseকে প্রয়োজনমতো Phrase এ রুপান্তর করতে হয়। যেমনঃ Compound : The king fought bravely but lost the battle. Simple: In spite of fighting bravely, the king lost the battle.
