Interrogative sentence

 Interrogative sentence হলো প্রশ্নবাচক sentence ।

এটি কোন বিষয়ের উপর জিজ্ঞাসা প্রকাশ করে। এই sentence এর কয়েকটি সাধারণ pattern আছে।

i. Auxiliary verb (not) + subject + finite verb —–? : Did you go there yesterday?

এই ধরণের ‍question কে বলে Yes/No question

ii. WH word + auxiliary verb (not)  + subject + finite verb —–? : When did you go there yesterday?

এই ধরণের ‍question কে বলে WH question

iii. Subject + verb + ———-. You are Rifat?

এই ধরণের ‍question কে বলে statement question

iv. Assertive sentence, auxiliary verb + subject +? He was busy, isn’t he?

এই ধরণের ‍question কে বলে tag question

Examples:

  1. How are you?
  2. When did you come?
  3. Is everything OK?
  4. You are keeping well?
  5. You have finished your breakfast, haven’t you?
