 Use of the verb forms

Verb forms	Use	Indication	Example
1. Present	Present indefinite tense	usually, generally, now, every day, always বা দৈনন্দিন কাজ	I (go) to office every day. go He usually (come) at night. comes
2. Past	past indefinite tense	then, at that time/moment বা অতীত নির্দেশক যে কোন শব্দ।	I (be) busy then. was Nazrul (come) to Bangladesh in 1972. came
3. Past participle	Present perfect tense	already, recently, yet, just, just now বা কিছুক্ষণ আগে অথবা সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে ঘটা কাজ	He already (arrive). has already arrived.
	Past perfect tense	before/ after দ্বারা যুক্ত দুটি clause	She (leave) before I came. had left
	Future perfect tense	future indefinite বা present indefinite এবং future perfect এর দুটি clause before/after দ্বারা যুক্ত থাকে।	I (finish) the work before you come.   will have finished
	Passive- be + ()	Subject inactive	The book (write) in English. is written
	()--+ noun	Determiner + () + noun	I saw a (wound) bird. wounded
	Noun + ()	noun + () object	Bidrohi (write) by Nazrul is a famous poem. written
4. Verb+ ing	Present continuous	now, at this moment বা এখন চলছে এমন কাজ	The boys (play) now. are playing
	Past continuous	then, at that time/moment	Then they were (gossip). gossiping
	Future continuous	ভবিষ্যৎ নির্দেশক যে কোন সময়, কাজ বা ঘটনা।	Shima (sit) when you will visit her. wii be sitting
	Present  perfect continuous	for + duration of time, since + beginning time	Helal (work) since morning. has been working.
	Past perfect continuous	before/ after দ্বারা যুক্ত দুটি clause এর একটি সাধারণ আর অপরটি চলমান।	I (wait) before you came. had been waiting
	Future perfect continuous	future indefinite বা present indefinite এবং future perfect continuous এর দুটি clause before/after দ্বারা যুক্ত থাকে।	They (read) before they will go out.              will have been reading

	Noun + ()	post modifier adjective	Shilpi is a girl (live) in a village. living
