Complex Sentence

 Introduction: Complex Sentence = 1Main clause + 1 or more sub clause/s Example : Mita cooks her own food when her mother is not at home.

Complex Sentence এ একটি মাত্র main clause থাকে এবং এক বা একাধিক sub clause থাকে।

Formation: Base: i. 1Main clause + 1 or more sub-clause/s Example: I feel well when I am at home. ii. sub-clause+ main clause Example: when I am at home I feel well.

Simple -Complex: Simple Sentence থেকে Complex গঠন করতে হলে Simple Sentence এর present participle, infinitive, prepositional phrase, adverbial ইত্যাদিকে Subordinate clause এ রুপান্তর করতে হয়। যেমনঃ

Simple : You can pass reading attentively. Complex: You can pass if you read attentively.

Compound-Complex: Compound Sentence থেকে Complex গঠন করতে হলে Coordinating conjunction এর পরিবর্তে Subordinating conjunction লিখতে হয় এবং Clause টি পুর্ণ করে লিখতে হয়। যেমনঃ

Compound: He is poor but (he is) honest. Complex : Though he is poor, he is honest.)
