Omission of articles

 সব noun এর সাথেই article ব্যবহার করা যায়না। যেমনঃ

1. gap এর পর noun না থাকলে gap এ article লিখতে হয় না। যেমনঃ The book is × very interesting.

2. proper noun, material noun এবং abstract noun অনির্দিষ্ট হলে এর আগে article লিখতে হয়না। যেমনঃ × Ripon is a student. × Air is polluted by smoke.

3. determiner এর আগে বা পরে article ব্যবহৃত হয়না।যেমনঃ He is × my × friend.

4. plural noun অনির্দিষ্ট হলে article লাগেনা। যেমনঃ We read × books.

5. uncountable noun অনির্দিষ্ট হলে article লাগেনা । যেমনঃ We drink  × water.

6. gerund অনির্দিষ্ট হলে article লাগেনা । যেমনঃ× Driving is my hobby.
