Definition:

1. In grammar, Personal pronoun is a word such as ‘I’, ‘you’ and ‘they’ which refers to a person in speech or in writing.

2. A pronoun that refers to a particular person, group, or thing. Like all pronouns, personal pronouns can take the place of nouns and noun phrases.

অর্থাাৎ, কথায় বা লেখায় কোন বিশেষ person, group, or thing বোঝাতে যে pronoun ব্যবহার করা হয়, তাকে Personal pronoun বলে।

  • First-person singular: I (subject); me (object);
  • First-person plural: we (subject); us (object)
  • Second-person singular and plural: you (subject and object)
  • Third-person singular: he, she, it (subject); him, her, it (object)
