Noun to Adjective

a. Suffix plus:

i. Noun + al: nation→national, industry→industrial, culture→cultural

ii. Noun + ic: hero→heroic,artist→artistic, base→basic

iii. Noun + ful: beauty→ beautiful, hope→hopeful, care→careful

iv. Noun + less: care→careless, hope→hopeless, power→powerless

v. Noun + ous: danger→dangerous, fame→famous

vi. Noun +y: salt→salty, health→healthy, thirst→ thirsty, wealth→wealthy

vii. Noun + ly: friend→friendly, cost→costly, month→monthly

viii. Noun + ese: Japan→Japanese, China→chinese

ix. Noun + an/ian: republic→republican, India→ Indian, Italy→ Italian 

x.  Noun + itive: sense→sensitive

b. Suffix minus:যে সমস্ত Noun  এর গঠন adjective + suffix তাদের সাথে যুক্ত  suffix বাদ দিলে আবার adjective গঠিত হয়। যেমনঃ

 happiness→ happy,                illness → ill

helplessness → helpless         certainty→ certain

 width → wide

noun with `nce’ → nt: 

silence → silent absence → absent

distance → distant

c. conversion:

fine (n)  জরিমানা →                     fine (adj) - সুন্দর 

good (adj) ভাল→                          goods (n) - পণ্য 

 head (n) - মাথা→                       head (adj) - প্রধান 

  

                                                              Verb to Adjective

a. Suffix plus:

i. Verb + ive/ative: 

act→active                       inform→informative

ii. Verb + able/ible:

eat→eatable                     accept→acceptable 

comprehend→   comprehensible

iii. Verb +ing:

 excite→exciting            fascinate→fascinating

iv. Verb ous:

vary→various    continue→continuous

v. Verb + ant/ent:

 converse→conversant             depend→dependent

vi. V1→Verb3:

excite→ excited                        break→broken 

Adverb to Adjective

a. Suffix plus: Not applicable

 

b. Suffix minus: 

যে সমস্ত    adverb এর গঠন adj + ly তাদের ly বাদ দিলে আবার adj গঠিত হয়।  

Nicely→nice                            quietly→quiet

wonderfully→wonderful        strongly→strong

 vividly→vivid

c. conversion:

well(adv)- ভালভাবে  →well(adj) - ভাল, fast(adv)- দ্রুতগতিতে →fast(adj) -দ্রুতগামি, long(adv) দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে →long (adj)- দীর্ঘ
